Tools for Your Lessons
To fully enjoy our classes, you only need to have internet access, a webcam, and a microphone. Also, you’ll need to have Skype installed on your computer.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend the lesson at the pre-agreed time, you may cancel or reschedule a booked lesson with no fee for up to 24 hours before the lesson. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson, you will be charged for the lesson. To cancel or reschedule, send an email to Info@russianlessononline.com and we will arrange another day and time for the next class.
Lateness for Lessons
You must be on time for your lessons. If you start a class late, the study session will finish at the scheduled time. Your teacher will wait a maximum of 30 minutes (half of the lesson). If you do not arrive within this time, the lesson is canceled, and you lose it from your package.
Teacher’s Lesson Cancelations
Sometimes your teacher needs to cancel the lesson or several lessons due to his/her personal circumstances (vacation, business trip, sick leave, etc.) In this case, you’ll be notified either at the lesson or by email 24 hours before the lesson. Your remaining lessons will be transferred to a later agreed upon date and you will not lose your lessons. You will be offered a substitute when your current teacher is unavailable. You can choose this option if you are not willing to have any delays in your Russian language study process.
Taking Breaks from Lessons
If you cannot attend your current course due to personal reasons (vacation, business trip, sick leave, etc.), you must submit a request to Info@russianlessononline.com or notify your teacher at the lesson. We will transfer your remaining lessons to a later agreed upon date and you will not lose your lessons. If you stop taking lessons for 30 days from the date of your last lesson without agreement from your teacher, you will lose the remaining lessons from your package.
Booking and Payment for Russian Lessons
You can book 1, 10, 20, or 30 lesson packages. Before you begin, please prepay the total package fee. Payments are accepted with 20, 180, 320, 450, respectively and prices are in US Dollars. You may schedule a trial lesson with your teacher before booking a chosen package to discuss which package best suits you. Within 24 hours, you will receive the course booking confirmation and a payment link. After the website receives payment, the teacher will contact you via email or the Skype address to schedule your first lesson.
Refunds
Before you choose and pay for the lessons package, make sure that you can find two or three hours per week for classes plus extra study time. The website does not give refunds if you accidentally decide to stop learning in the middle of the period. The remaining courses will be transferred to a later agreed upon date.
Technical Issues
If the student misses a class due to technical problems on the student’s side, then the student loses the class with no refund. If a teacher misses a class due to the teacher’s technical problems, then the student gets a free class.
Creating a Good Study Environment
Note that online lessons are not the same as chatting with your friends or family members. If you study at home and you have young children or pets, please find a quiet place where you can study Russian. If it’s too noisy around you, we will not be able to have quality lessons.
Scheduling
Online classes are available at any time that you prefer. You will agree on dates and times of classes with your teacher at your trial lesson or during the study period. Before you choose and pay for the lessons package, make sure that you can find two or three hours per week for classes plus extra study time.
Study Times
You can have a fixed or flexible schedule. Fixed schedule consists of study hours that are the same from week to week. If you have a flexible schedule, we will arrange the suitable day and time of our next class at the end of each lesson. You may also schedule your lessons by visiting the schedule page on our website. You may choose the day and time of your next class and make a booking. You may reserve your classes up to one month in advance or as soon as 48 hours in advance.
Sharing Lessons
You can buy a package of individual lessons only for yourself. It won’t be possible to share your lessons with other people if you choose this option. If you want to study with your colleagues, friends, or family members, please purchase a mini-group package. There can be 2 or 3 people in a group. It can be discussed individually.
